Senior Physiotherapist (Sport Performance) - University of Leeds, Closing 2nd June

Working in partnership, University of Leeds and Leeds City Council are seeking to employ a skilled professional to lead the delivery of physiotherapy in both institutions.

The new University of Leeds sport strategy has the aspiration for Leeds to be recognised as the ‘Number one provider for higher education sport and physical activity experience’ and we believe we are well placed to achieve this over the next 5 years. Our sporting infrastructure is outstanding. Our facilities are widely recognised as one of the best University provision in the country, from our world class health and fitness facility, The Edge, to the 145 acres of outdoor pitches at Sports Park Weetwood. Our sports programmes provide the breadth and diversity to meet the needs of our elite and talented athletes.

In order to support our strategic aim the University of Leeds, in partnership with Leeds City Council’s aquatic programme, are seeking to appoint a full time Senior Physiotherapist to service TASS athletes, scholarship athletes, University of Leeds sports clubs, Leeds City Council swimmers and synchronised swimmers. The post will be split equally across both the University of Leeds and the Leeds City Council Aquatics programmes in order to work with athletes and coaches across both sites.

The role will be working within Leeds City Council Performance Swimming and Synchronised Swimming Training Scheme’s at John Charles Sports Centre which support national and international athletes fulfil their potential. Both University of Leeds and Leeds City Council are supported through their partnership with Swim England.

This post offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist who can demonstrate the highest standards of personal, professional and managerial attributes.

Hours: 35hrs per week. The post holder will be required to work some evenings and weekends, so flexibility will be required.

An Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is required for this position.

University Grade 6 (£26,052 - £31,076)

24 Month Fixed-Term Contract
