Physiotherapy role

Manage an Integrated Player Welfare Service Within an Independent School:

As lead physiotherapist, you will be providing medical support and triage to the pupils during structured clinics at the school

Provide pitch side cover during multisport events (particularly during winter months)

Lead the communication of injuries and concussion management pathways

Support the Lead Physiotherapist at Sussex Cricket Club:

Opportunity to work in a professional cricket environment, including working with the professional squad, training and match day cover, during summer months

Delivery and Development of Physiotherapy Services Across Multisite Outpatient Clinics:

You will work within a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapy, sports medicine, hand therapy and women’s health physiotherapy

Facilities at two of the sites includes high performance rehabilitation gym facilities

The successful candidate will be expected to provide physiotherapy services in high performance environments. Opportunities to tour abroad may arise.

This exciting opportunity will enable the physiotherapist to work in challenging environments and expose them to professional sport.

Essential requirements

A degree in Physiotherapy

Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Considerable experience in the provision of physiotherapy services to athletes, which should include work within high performance sport

Training in child protection will be required

An advanced DBS check will be a prerequisite for the successful candidate

Two employment or academic references

Desirable requirements

A post graduate degree in sports physiotherapy, sport & exercise medicine, strength and conditioning or other related subject

Pitch side sports trauma care certification e.g. RFU, FA or Lubas Medical

Previous exposure to rugby and/or other contact sports
